The Necessity of Child Seats

  • By jetta3 on

A large number of people are not aware of the need to use the correct safety restraints for small children in vehicles to ensure their safety. Although the use of seatbelts has a high awareness, the need for using different types of restraints for children of different weights and ages, is not general knowledge.

Child restraint devices work in tandem with adult seat belts. It must be ensured that that the right device is used to suit the requirements of a child's physique. Rear-facing child seats are inherently safer than forward-facing child seats, because they provide more support for the child's head in event of a sudden deceleration.

Remember, small children are the most vulnerable occupants of a vehicle. Let us take those extra precautionary measures to ensure they are safe at all times.
